Dana Edwards!
Dana is one of our many talented project managers and sales representatives based out of Houston.
- How long have you worked in the industry?
- I have worked in the communications and DC industry for 9 years and have been at Power Storage Solutions for 4 years.
- Where did you grow up and where are you based now?
- I was raised in Lakewood, Colorado and based out of Houston.
- Tell us about one of your biggest successes with a customer.
- My biggest success is the relationships I have been able to develop with many customers over the years. These relationships allow me to help out in many areas, such as scheduling, project completion, invoicing, etc. For example, if we have a job push out last minute on the schedule, I can roll another one into that slot so our technicians are kept working. This is extremely difficult to do with refineries and chemical plants, but with the right communication, sometimes it can be worked out. Additionally, a good relationship with customers can help acquire PO’s for invoicing and project development purposes.
- What makes you a good project manager?
- I am a wickedly good multi-tasker, which is a key component of being a project manager.
- What are 3 words that describe you?
- Determined
- Energetic
- Friendly
- What are some of your biggest accomplishments since becoming part of the Power Storage Solutions team?
- I have definitely taken on more challenges. I’ve coordinated jobs larger, and more detailed than I ever expected when I first started. I feel like I have helped out not just in project management, but also invoicing, sales, and service. I’m no longer afraid to be the delivery driver on a project or help out in any way I can.
- Who is someone that inspires you within the company? Why?
- The technicians always inspire me. They go out there and keep their heads up and get the work that is needed done. Without them, I wouldn’t have a job.
- Before working at Power Storage Solutions, what was the the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
- I was a Cadet at Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department in Golden, Colorado when I was 19. I was assigned to Investigations to track down juvenile run aways. We also entered liquor stores and attempted to buy alcohol without an ID and directed traffic for large events. We carried weapons and had high-speed pursuit driver training. It was very interesting.
